Chocolate and a visit

We've had a lovely few days!

We visit our friends at the Cromarty Cheese Shop on an almost daily basis,

who have invited us over for tea tomorrow.

They had a fire going the last time we visited and I told Kaya to pull up

a chair and warm herself up as she ate her Dutch goodies.

My Mom arrived two days ago and both today and yesterday we went to Inverness,

the city that is closest to us.

Yesterday just Billy and I went, and it was peaceful.

First time alone for....too long.

We had lunch at a rather bad restaurant, but it didn't matter.

We appreciated the time together.

Today was a real challenge taking the hour long bus with my crabby preschooler.

It wasn't the smartest of ideas, and she had a total meltdown in the grocery store..

with people looking and everything. Yeah. One of those days! 

Then we got home and her attitude continued and to be frank I felt pretty fed up.

Sad as well as she normally is so great with me, kind and compassionate,

and the last few days she has said some mean stuff. Of course it's normal and a phase

and as I keep hearing, nothing compared to the teen years. It's just abnormal for her, up until now that is. I'm hoping it passes soon!!
